Short-Term Entry & Tourist Rules

US Citizens can enter visa-free for up to 30 days, extendable at a Bureau of Immigration office.

SRRV "Classic"
The Retiree

Investment: Time deposit of $10,000 (with pension) or $20,000 (without pension). Age 50+ required.

Path: Deposit is held in an accredited bank. Provides indefinite stay with multiple-entry privileges.

Tax Break: US-Philippines tax treaty can prevent double taxation on retirement income.

Student Visa (9(f))
The Student

Savings: Proof of financial capacity (roughly $2,500/year for living).

Note: Applicants must be 18+ and enrolled in a CHED-accredited school.

Recognition of Citizenship
Ancestry & Heritage Path

Path: If at least one parent was a Filipino citizen at the time of your birth, you are a 'Natural-born' Filipino. Under RA 9225, former Filipinos who became US citizens can 're-acquire' their Filipino citizenship.

Family Inclusion

Spouse and one child (under 21, unmarried) can be included for an additional deposit of $15,000 per dependent.
